Exeter Hockey is delighted to announce that the Men's & Women's
University Clubs will be sponsored by ABN AMRO's graduate development
programme for the 2007-2008 season. ABN AMRO is a long-term supporter of
professional sport, a World Hockey Partner of the International Hockey Federation and sponsor of the recently launched Euro Hockey League.

Nicholas Bull, ABN AMRO’s UK Head of Global Clients said:

"We are delighted to sponsor the Clubs for the 2007-2008 season. ABN AMRO ranks in the top 100 preferred employers for graduates in the UK and recruits extensively from UK universities. Sponsoring the women’s and men’s hockey at the University of Exeter will help us build the widest range of relationships with undergraduates who are considering a career in finance; as well as further supporting the sport of hockey where ABN AMRO has already made a significant commitment."

The University’s Director of Hockey, Chris McInroy:

“Sponsorship forms a vital part of our hockey programme. The fantastic contribution and commitment made by ABN AMRO helps ensure that we are not only able to cover the substantial costs which we incur when running 13 teams, but also helps us to plan a financially sustainable and innovative hockey programme for the future. We are proud to be working with ABN AMRO and look forward to helping them meet their objectives within their graduate development programme.”

Exeter University Hockey is delighted to announce a new and exciting sponsorship deal with Nando’s. Famed for their Portuguese flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken, Fresh A-grade British chickens are butterfly-cut and immediately marinated in the top-secret Nando’s marinade for a full 24 hours to ensure that the flavour penetrates right through the meat. Nando’s serves up traditional hospitality, warmth and fun.

The new deal will help support the University’s national league squad as they compete the Slazenger EHL National South Division.

1st team Manager Nick Beasant explains the reasons behind the new deal:

“The costs and commitment required to be successful at this level are high and so we have to work hard on the pitch in order maintain a high level of performance, but also off the pitch in terms of fundraising and sponsorship. Nando’s has a great track record in supporting sport and did not hesitate in agreeing to support us as it ties in very neatly with the launch of their new Exeter restaurant”.

Keri Perkins Nando’s PR Manager added:

“Sports men and women love eating our PERi-PERi chicken because it is so high in protein and flame-grilled so low in fat and carbohydrate. However, as well as eating well, exercise is really important, so Nando’s loves to get involved in supporting sport at every level”.

Patrao at Nando’s Exeter is Sameer Shetty and he is delighted to welcome the hockey squad to his new eatery:

“Nando’s are passionate about food and always insist on it being freshly prepared. It doesn’t contain any colourings, preservatives or artificial flavours so it is totally natural and healthy. Nando’s PERi-PERi helps reduce cholesterol and is rich in vitamins A and C so it should help the squad with their training and match play! We are pleased to be working with EUMHC as they have built an excellent reputation for playing attractive and attacking hockey. I hope Nando’s Exeter will become their second home!”
